Immersion and Lore

Become a part of Tyria’s living history and help shape the future of the Wandering Alliance, embarking on thrilling collaborative journeys within the immersive world of Guild Wars 2.

Our roleplay guidelines ensure a deeply immersive experience, balanced with the freedom for collaborative storytelling

Immersive

Embark on a new chapter in the vibrant tapestry of Tyria’s living world— a world steeped in rich history and ancient lore. The Wandering Alliance, forged in 1329 AE, arose to answer the desperate needs of Tyria’s people. While the guild does not solely recruit heroic types, the Wandering Alliance draws together those with a shared commitment to noble ideals, a common thread of righteousness that unites them in their fight to safeguard the people and realms of Tyria.

You and your character will immerse yourselves in existing narratives with far-reaching consequences, and you’ll become a part of thrilling new stories crafted by fellow members of all backgrounds and experience levels as part of the diverse range of weekly in-character events that we offer.

From investigating whispers of encroaching darkness and patrolling treacherous routes, to hunting down formidable foes and defending vulnerable settlements, your legend in the Wandering Alliance of Tyria awaits to be written.

Lore-Friendly

The story of the Wandering Alliance of Tyria fits neatly into the sprawling tapestry of Guild Wars 2 lore provided by Arenanet. Thus, the guild expects players to introduce characters who have a believable and grounded basis in the world of Tyria, making roleplay believable and immersive. There are worlds of stories waiting to be explored through collaborative storytelling, and we have chosen to explore them within the existing realm of Tyria.

This means that we adhere to the established lore and canon of Guild Wars 2; we ask that characters who wish to join the guild are one of the five available playable races, and we expect that a playable character’s strengths and abilities lie within a believable range of power, skill and ability – ie. no “Commander” characters. We accept some creative license for character’s skills for the sake of personal flair and characterisation, but remember to keep everything believable, lore-friendly, and fair to other players.
